Registering Your Account

How to Register

1Open your browser and go to https://gfybooks.com
2Click Sign up for free on the login page.
3Fill in your Full Name, Email Address, Password, Company Name, and Mobile Number.
4Read and accept the Terms of Service and policies by ticking the checkbox.
5Click Create Account.
6A 6-digit verification code (OTP) will be sent to your email address.
7Enter the 6-digit code on the verification screen. Your account is activated immediately.

💡 Tip

Your password must be at least 6 characters and contain an uppercase letter, a number, and a special character.

ℹ️ Note

Use a business email address (e.g. yourname@company.com) for a more professional setup. The Company Name you enter here is used to pre-fill your first business during onboarding.

Logging In

Sign In to Your Account

1Go to https://gfybooks.com/login
2Enter your registered Email and Password.
3Click Sign in.

Forgot Password? Click the Forgot password? link on the login page. Enter your email and follow the reset link sent to your inbox.

ℹ️ Note

If your account is already open on another device, a warning will appear. Click Logout & Login Here to continue on this device — the other session will be signed out automatically.

⚠️ Important

Too many failed attempts? After 5 incorrect login tries in 60 seconds, the Sign in button is disabled and a one-minute countdown starts. Wait until the timer reaches zero, then try again. This protects your account from brute-force guessing.

First-Time Onboarding

Choose Your Plan

After verifying your email, GFYBooks shows you the "Almost there! Choose your plan" screen. Compare available tiers and click Select. The Free plan is available with no payment required; paid plans open a Razorpay checkout.

Create Your First Business

After selecting a plan you are taken to /onboarding/setup, a two-step strip:

1Business creation — complete the multi-step wizard (Legal Business Name, address, primary contact, bank details, optional custom messaging). See the Your Businesses chapter for full field details.
2Create invoice (optional) — create your first invoice or click "Skip and go to dashboard" to proceed immediately.

💡 Tip

You can upgrade or change your plan at any time from Settings → Subscription. Businesses are managed from the business switcher (top right of the top bar) and from the Accounts page.
